Class 10 board exam is one of the most important exams of a student’s life. Class 10 board exam is the first hurdle a student has to encounter and successful pass in his academic life. There was a time when only a few in the whole country used to get above 80% in class 10 board exams. But with the increase in competition, affordability with respect to education and availability of ample study materials, getting 90% has become a cakewalk now. To stand out amongst the rest, one has to now score 97-99% in board exams. Here are some tips that can help you to secure high marks in class 10 board exams:

1.    Prepare a routine and follow it religiously
Haphazard learning is never good in academics especially for, board exams. It’s very important to make a proper timetable in such a way that all subjects’ syllabus is given deserved priorities. There will be days when you won’t be able to follow the routine. Without tearing it down, you must resume your preparation according to the routine.
2.    Know the syllabus
Teachers normally make students aware of the syllabus before starting any chapter in class. It’s important to follow the teacher and his instructions and class notes. There’s no use reading out of syllabus materials especially during the board exam times.
3.    Try to do conceptual learning
Though rot learning can fetch high marks as much as 90% in today’s India, if you really want to score 97-99% in board exams then you must have a clear concept of all the topics. Being conceptually sound will help you to tackle difficult or tricky questions with confidence.
4.    Solve previous years question papers
In India, it has been seen that same questions are repeated multiple times in board exams. So, it’s not a rocket science to understand that solving the previous years’ question papers’ is key to scoring high marks in board exams. Also going through the previous years’ papers will give you an idea about the pattern of the exam and help you in time management.
5.    Give more time on weak subjects without decreasing your level in stronger ones
Even the brightest of students has 1 or 2 weak subjects. Now to get an overall above 97-98% one has to score very high marks in each and every subject. So it’s imperative to work a bit extra for your weak subjects and keep improving the strong ones to get the maximum out of it.
6.    Revise all the subjects at least 2-3 times before the board exams
Revising is key for the strengthening of the concepts and enhancement of the retention power. Unless you revise all the subjects thoroughly, you will not feel confident during the exam and this will lead to you making mistakes and getting fewer marks.
